You have to decide if it's worth it. I've only once had to restore from
backups (my mac, had to fall back to previous OS release). Local
Time-Machine backup though.

Why not host disk space (only for yourself) at home? Even here (in ZA)
an uncapped account is not that expensive. Slow, yes - I've got the
1Mbit account (though I have pulled the full 4Mbit line capacity during
night-time).
Do you have an always-on fileserver/gateway at home? Plug in an external
1/2/3TB disk (whatever you fancy), open up rsyncd on it, firewall it to
be only accessible from your vps. There you go. Backups might be a bit
slow, yes, especially the initial one, but it will be there.
Unless of course your data is so volatile it cannot be backed up over
such a slow link overnight.

Hey there list,
I'd be grateful if someone could recommend please a front-end for iptables?
Arno's iptables seems well-regarded.
I've set up some basic iptables rules on my VPS that allow/block various
ports etc but want to be able to use iptable's state module too and would
like to use a script that's been proved through use.
Thanks in advance for any help/ideas.
Barry
