Thanks for the feedback. I've implemented a lot of this now, and
it's available for testing.
What's new:
- Xen Shell "kickstart" command
This allows you to save a kickstart profile for your VPS. A couple
of supported BitFolk profiles are supplied:
- CentOS 5.x, text mode install, prompts for partitioning,
forces minimal package selection.
- CentOS 6.x, text mode install, forces default partitioning and
minimal package selection.
- CentOS 6.x, VNC GUI mode install, largely interactive install.
- Scientific Linux 6.x, text mode install, forces default
partitioning and minimal package selection.
- Scientific Linux 6.x, VNC GUI mode install, largely interactive
install.
Alternatively you can specify your own HTTP URL for a kickstart
config you host elsewhere. You're on your own there but it should
be pretty easy to customise one of the BitFolk ones.
- Xen Shell "install" command support for CentOS 6.x and Scientific
Linux 6.x.
I've installed every combination of the above, but other than that
none of it has undergone extensive testing, so please don't rely on
it to work yet. More user testing needed.
Cheers,
Andy
