PayPal are very much on the side of the buyer and I believe if
there is a dispute over an electronic purchase then the buyer
always gets a full refund. So that's an option.

I hope so. I paid in advance for a cab recently - booked online with
Paypal. They cancelled the night before, and of course didn't refund the
money. If they don't reply by tomorrow I should get a full refund.
Suppose I should be grateful that they phoned me to cancel!
