I'd be surprised if the Bitfolk resolvers will respond to recursive
requests from your home IP address. Have you actually tried it?
I haven't installed resolvconf on my VPS so
/etc/resolv.conf on startx
has both bitfolk dns IPs and one of the zen IPs. There have been no
complaints.
I dare say there probably haven't been any successfull lookups from Zen
either! It is rare for such resolvers to accept off-net recursive queries.
