Greetings
Anyone else who have gotten the cold hand from Google while connecting
by way of Bitfolk's IPv6 range?
I have recently started using my Bitfolk VPS as a VPN, and while
connecting through it I'm not allowed to login to Google Apps.
I can access the https://accounts.google.com/ login page, but I soon as
I enter my credentials I end up at
https://accounts.google.com/RestrictedCountry, which then points me to
the https://support.google.com/a/answer/2891389 help page.
This problem goes away if I force IPv4.
The unwelcome IPv6 address being 2001:ba8:1f1:c10::1000.
The much more welcome IPv4 address being 85.119.83.127.

I’ve reported this on https://support.google.com/websearch/contact/ip.
Using this form, I was able to fix incorrect country detection for my
IPv6 address at home, so it should help now too.

Hi Andreas,
I use IrssiNotifier from my Bitfolk VPS to push notifications from IRC
to my phone. It hits an API on Google App Engine and had been broken for
me for some time, but I hadn't had a time to investigate it properly.
Both the API host and my VPS have IPv6, so it was probably using it.
It started working again sometime between 21:40 last night and 07:00
this morning, based on the messages it would have tried to send and
which of them actually got through.
So it looks like this was probably being caused by the same problem you
were seeing and the fix made things work for me too.
