Hi all,
now that CentOS 5.6 has finally been released I've just run a "yum
update" to install it.
Despite installing the latest kernel (kernel-xen-2.6.18-238.5.1.el5)
it's not actually booting with it (despite a shutdown and console boot).
I guess I need to do something outside of the VPS (pyGrub?) to get this
working but I don't know what.
Can anybody advise, please?

Can you show us your /boot/grub/menu.lst please?

Yup, it hadn't created an entry in menu.lst so I had to do this
manually. Looking back at the output of "yum update" it said
"grubby fatal error: unable to find a suitable template"
at the point that it installed the new kernel.
Anyway, all working now - but it would be good to get this sorted before
the next kernel update :)

Glad it worked, but I'm afraid I've always had that with CentOS.
If anyone knows why it does that and how to fix it so that upgrading
the kernel works properly under Xen I'd like to know.
Actually it might be worth me trying it under a CentOS VM installed
with the actual CentOS installer to see if it is happier with that.
