Is there a possibility this is related to the similar

I don't think so as the failure modes were completely different. In
the case on Sunday 10th, There was a software problem (Xen domains
could not be started) and while poking at it, I caused all domains
to die (again software). I then had to reboot the server in order to
start them again.
Whereas last night it seems that the server spontaneously rebooted
itself without logging anything or otherwise giving any warning in
the time leading up to the event. For now I would rather keep my
eye on it as attempting any sort of diagnosis or migration of
customers to other hardware will result in more downtime.
Cheers,
Andy
