Would you consider an early settlement reward?
Sure if you're all happy for me to put the prices up to cover the

By 'rewards system', I meant extending their renewal date by X days.
You already have the ability to add credit in days as you've used that
in the past for some service disuptions so it wouldn't require a
change to your system.
It sounds really complicated to keep track of and experience shows
that people dislike payment amounts and dates changing, even if it's
in their favour. By comparison, people paying for things when they
are due or having it taken away sounds fair and simple.
Raising invoices earlier is not going to be a problem.
Sending more automated reminders is not going to be a problem.
Would some payment issues be lessened if more
customers switched to longer payment periods? Or would that merely
delay the problem?
Someone paying yearly has 11 fewer chances per year to pay late so
I'm all for it. There is also a large discount for doing so.
Cheers,
Andy
