OK, I can understand the "less professional" bit if you look at it from an
online shop perspective, but that is incredibly subjective, isn't it? So,
if Google/PayPal is a problem (in a way I do understand it of people have
an aversion to it, since neither are true UK companies), what is wrong
Paypal doesn't exactly have the most spotless reputation when it comes
to dealing with issues and a large number of people have been burnt by
them in one respect or another.
I can't speak about their UK operation, if any, but they're regulated in
Australia the same as any other financial institution here, unlike in
the US where anything goes.

I'm on the edge of it going down to 2.9% (putting £1,500/month
through Paypal alone), but this isn't about reducing the Paypal
take. It's about taking credit cards without using Paypal or
Google.
Wow, they're shafting you in the UK, both the AU and US variations only
hit you up for 2.4% + 30c in the respective currency, then again it
could be that visa is to blame, which wouldn't surprise me in the least.
