Thanks for the link - good to see an authoritative reference on the issue.
I'm investigating at the moment as I would
prefer not to have to switch
off IPv6 to get mail working - it seems a backward step! Any useful
references or comments welcome.
I'd recommend the IPv6 reverse DNS info on the Bitfolk wiki:
https://tools.bitfolk.com/wiki/IPv6#Reverse_DNS
Despite a couple of transposition errors with the reverse reording of my
IPv6 address (par for the course I imagine!) I was up-and-running in less
than 10 minutes with those instructions.
Of course, if you are not running your own DNS there'll be a bit more work
to do.

Thanks for that, I hadn't thought to look at the Bitfolk wiki, largely because
I'm not using my Bitfolk server for outbound mail (although thinking about it
some of my websites are, so I should probably look into that too now!). I'm not
running my own external server, but may be able to set something up on the
services I do use for DNS (or just consolidate and do it myself, at the moment
I have my .uk domains with my registrar and the .com, .net and .org ones on a
free service - cheapskate that I am ;) ). I'll have to go back to my local
server setup, I seem to remember having issues with the reverse DNS on my local
DNS server for IPv6 and have a feeling I forgot to go back and sort it out - my
own setup is always the neglected one!
