register probes
per minute.
I have fail2ban active which bans the ip, but it seems to be some sort
of bot network which immediately switches to another IP.
Needless to say, it is a pain.
What's the impact of a failed register?
If you can't restrict the valid source IPs with firewalling then
you're going to have to put with a constant background noise of
unauthenticated activity. Fail2Ban may actually be the best you can
do.
