Could possibly be the result of having a specific versioned
package like "mysql-server-5.0" installed rather than the generic
"mysql-server"? Those upgrading the same install from etch through
lenny, squeeze
and to wheezy could possibly have never switched to rsyslog and
may have been caught by this:
Again, it's possible that a list of packages was copied. The previous
config had its origins in Woody before being upgraded over the years
as far as Lenny(?)
