OK, the next time it doesn't work, I will try the ones that have worked
in the past and see if they still are.
We are not likely to make much progress on this
without knowing
which IP address(es) are unreachable.
The problem with that is that Amazon AWS apparently uses about two
million IP addresses, and it could be any of them...
