Hello All,
I'm following instructions on the wiki to move to a new IP 4 address.

*RTNETLINK answers: No such file or directory*
One other person has reported this. I have not seen it before. I'm
waiting for them to give me access to their VPS so I can poke about.
Do you have multiple network interfaces? e.g. tap/tun interfaces for
VPNs and stuff?
Can you try specifying the interface as well?
# ip route change default via 85.119.80.1 dev eth0
Let us know how you get on. If that doesn't work then I would like
to have access to your VPS, which I will talk to you about in a
support ticket.
PS: It may have something to with adding modules to
the kernel, but I can't
find a clear answer on google.
Nor me. I suspect it is something to do with interface though. It
seems like netlink will say "no such process" when it has a problem
with the route, or "no such file" / "file exists" when it has a
problem with the interface.
Worst case, I expect just making the config file changes, shutting
down and booting again will sort things out, but I'd rather get this
working without that and to understand it.
Cheers,
Andy
