Which service do you use to back up your VPS(es) in this way? Maybe
you could add to the wiki article…
I use xfsdump streamed over SSH back to my local disk.
I've got plenty of data allowance available for it and a couple of 2 or
3 TB external disks here for storing the backups.
I can share the scripts with anyone who wants them. They support
ext-style filesystems as well.
