Actually thinking about it some more, I have a suspicion that this
is related to radvd and IPv6. radvd is the Router Advertisement
Daemon. It's what allows your VPSes to automatically configure
their IPv6 connectivity, and the implementation on Linux does not
seem very stable.
In the shorter term I would like to try turning off radvd on
obstler. I'll do that at 13:00Z Tuesday 12th May. This means that
if you have a VPS on obstler and you use IPv6, you will need to
statically configure it otherwise it will stop working. If you
don't know how to do that then please respond on- or off-list for
some assistance.
If your VPS is not on obstler or if you don't use IPv6 then you can
ignore this.
