Quoting Andy Smith <andy(a)bitfolk.com>om>:
These sites shouldn't need any third party plugins and to be honest
if it wasn't for the fact that he'd have no idea how to later edit or
add pages, they could be static HTML.
Most appealing I have found so far is:
http://www.rochenhost.co.uk/joomla-hosting
which although doesn't keep the Joomla core up to date for you, does
at least purport to have "one click upgrade", so if I drum it into
him not to use third party plugins and to hit the upgrade button
every time it is available, he may be okay…
You should check SiteGround, they have an autoupdate, automatic
backups (in case update goes wrong) and they also have a custom plugin
which supposedly helps with some common security issues with Joomla. I
use them for a Joomla site and satisfied with it.
