I reboot my VPS only when a kernel/library patch requires it. Which is about once per
quarter, but let's be generous and say once every two months.
So that's six reboots a year. Let's find out what this will save me over the next
decade, shall we?

No, wait, my mistake. My calculator actually says six seconds. Over the next decade, this
will save me six seconds. I doubt I'll even notice that.
As optimisations go, it's not where I'd be putting engineering effort...
(Disclaimer: I do run Ubuntu. I'm generally very happy with it. However, looking at
the changes on the desktop, I may well be looking to drift away from it soon.)
