Deleted tc.log and it starts
Almost absurdly simple and I was stressing. I can now chill and enjoy the

I haven't seen this error before myself but this comes up in a

So assuming you have recent backups of all your mariadb data,
perhaps you could just try:
$ sudo rm -v /var/lib/mysql/tc.log
and try starting it again.
