SimplyMail do some good email deals, their basic option sounds suitable for
what you want, and is £12 a year. If you want a good web interface, try
their zimbra option, but it's relatively pricey at £40 a year.

For the domain name stuff, personally I'd keep that with a dedicated domain
name registrar, there's too many things that can go wrong to let someone
who doesn't specialise deal with them.
I'm a very happy user of Domainmonster -

other people swear by Gandi -

Hello,
I am looking for suggestions for an email-hosting company. Need POP3
access. I need something other than Google.
I need something that is reliable ... paid is okay. Something that does
not require me to login every n months or they delete the mbox.
I currently have registered domains at fasthosts.co.uk and they host
email for about GBP 16/year. But they use Exchange servers .... is that
good?
So if you have any company that your can recommend, I would appreciate it.
Also, I have a few domains that I also need to transfer ... hopefully to
the same company as the email-hoster.
Thanks in advance,
Sandy.
