Thanks for your nocturnal efforts, Andy. Sudden loss of connectivity with my VPS sent me to the panel, but that was giving 502 and later 503 errors. Was that a knock-on effect of the problems with Talisker? It's working again now.

I logged a ticket at about quarter to one in the morning mentioning that.  After he'd got everything running again, Andy replied to me to say:

"The panel backend is also on that host. It didn't fail over since it was still reachable by network though unable to work."

He's going to look into improving the health monitoring to correctly have it fail-over.
