I would make script which reads .bitfolk-rsync-filter (if present) and
then then goes through all snaps and deletes excluded files/dirs.
Tho, I don't imagine how much extra load it would add.
But in theory it shouldn't be too big because you only check if exist pwd+exluded dir/file then rm -rf?

perhaps because you placed
your files somewhere that was being backed up and didn't realise it
until afterwards
