I accidentally deleted the config files for apache2. I tried to reinstall them all be doing a purge and then reinstall. That didn't work so I did it again (that makes sense doesn't it!) Anyway after lots of more and more desperate hunting and fiddling, I've now reached the stage where I install using apt-get or aptitude, it says it has installed but there's nothing there. No executables in the expected directories, no config files. issuing httpd commands don't work. So where do I go from here? Any suggestions gratefully received
